This is NOT a condo complex with views of parking lots. This townhouse is in a lovely neighborhood setting and has its own private deck, and is walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the ocean harbor.
Nicely decorated and furnished, our fully equipped 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath (half bath downstairs, full bath upstairs) home is in quaint Winter Harbor on the Schoodic Peninsula. This lovely townhouse in a charming Downeast Maine fishing village will welcome you home every day of your vacation.
Connected by (summer) ferry to lively Bar Harbor, but nestled in a quieter, real downeast Maine coastal village.
Private deck w/fenced-in backyard w/views of gorgeous sunsets over Cadillac Mt. The broad night sky is a black sea of stars.
*Easy* stroll to ocean harbor. Bar Harbor ferry, restaurants, antiques, art, supermarket, the famous Winter Harbor 5&10 - are all within walking distance.
Only 1/2 mile to the entrance of Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, considered by many the most dramatic scenery and surf in the park. *Great bicycling!* *Great hiking, kayaking, or touring by car.*

Scenic drives. Hike the many trails. Bike, kayak, or canoe to explore numerous coves, harbor scenes, lighthouse, nature, and pink granite shores. Watch eagles, seals, osprey. Enjoy Jones Pond public beach and boat launch.
Walk to the free Island Explorer bus (seasonal), to tour Acadia Park Schoodic, Schoodic peninsula & breathtaking Schoodic Point. The ferry transports people to the Bar Harbor Inn pier and coordinates with the Park bus service on Mount Desert Island.
Pick up a picnic lunch at the nearby deli, grab a book and bask in the sunshine on the rocks at Schoodic Point while the surf pounds on the granite outcropping. Or relax with picnic or fishing pole at Frazer Point oceanfront park.
Grindstone oceanside golf course nearby. Walk to Schoodic Arts festival and coffeehouse events at Hammond Hall. (Coffeehouse events every month.)
Stroll down to hop the ferry for a short ride across the bay to bustling BAR HARBOR, then use the free Mt. Desert Island Explorer Bus system connecting the harbor towns, beach, and Acadia National Park. Cruise to whale watch, see puffins and seals.
Winter Harbor is a traditional Maine fishing village and summer colony where visitors are greeted warmly.
