June 14-17, 2007: Owa-chita (Festival of the Forest)
Held at Beavers Bend State Park, Kiamichi Owa-Chito was formed to stage an annual festival of the forest in an effort to acquaint the people of Oklahoma, surrounding states and the world with the beauty, heritage, industry and progress that are Kiamichi Country.
Kiamichi Owa-Chito is a "coming together" of the people, ethnic groups, industries, organizations, businessmen and specialist of McCurtain County... an invitation to everyone, everywhere to "come and see what we've got."
July 1-4, 2007: Fourth of July Celebrations
Celebrations abound throughout the area. Fireworks Display at the lake.
September 1-4, 2007: Labor Day
Saturday September 3: Hochatown Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry. Fish, Potato Salad, Beans, Hushpuppies, Desert & Drink.
Last of October: Fall Foliage
During the last weeks of October and throughout November, enjoy the many colors of the fall foliage around the area.
November 9-11, 2007: Folk Festival & Craft Show
Located at Beavers Bend State Park, Turn of the Century craft demonstrations, folk music, petting zoo and beautiful fall foliage!!! Festival Hours: Fri. & Sat 8 am - 5 pm; Sun 9 am - 4 pm
Other Craft Vendors can be found all along the highway.
November 10-11, 2006: Hochatown Volunteer Fire Craft/Bake Sale
Located on Highway 259 in Hochatown, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fire Department have handmade crafts and bake goods.

Rental Policies
Regular check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m.
Late arrivals are no problem, just notify us and your receipt, a map and keys will be left in an envelope in a pre-designated area.
Valid credit card is required to hold reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover
A $25.00 charge will apply for any cancellation or change of cabin.
When reservation is accepted, you will be charged for your first night's stay
14-day notice of cancellation (30 days on holidays) is necessary for refund of first night's stay (less the $25.00 cancellation fee)
Discounts do not apply during holidays.
A few of our cabin owners do not accept any discounts. Please note that your reservation will be accept without application of discount on these cabins.
No pets allowed. Failure to comply will incur a $100.00 - $300.00 charge. We do have a few cabins that are pet friendly, for which we charge $12.50 per night additional fee.
NO SMOKING in ANY cabin. Failure to comply will incur a $100.00 charge.
Inclement weather does not constitute a valid cancellation.
Cabins are to be left neat and tidy. Floors and countertops are to be left clean. All food brought by you for your stay should leave with you. Trash should be collected and if possible carried to area dumpsters. Do not leave trash outside if not in containers.
If there is an issue with your cabin, we must be notified upon arrival. No additional discounts will be considered at the end of your stay. Do not ask.
There is a $15.00 mail fee to return items left in cabin.
If firewood is provided, it is for indoor use only. No wood is provided for outdoor fire pit areas. Make sure you are aware of possible burn bans in our area before starting fires outdoors.
We are not responsible for injuries or loss of items during your stay.
If particular amenities are not listed on a cabin description and they are important for your stay, make sure to ask if available as you make your reservation.
We look forward to offering you a 5% repeat visitor discount, so please come back.
